Fingerprinting services are provided by the Records Division Tuesday or Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The fingerprinting fee is $10.00 for one card; $5.00 for each additional card. If you are being fingerprinted as a requirement for the City of Coeur dAlene (e.g. City License), please stop by Coeur dAlene City Hall at 710 Mullan beforehand to obtain the correct form and fee payment. For all other fingerprinting, please bring in the blank fingerprint card form for that institution.Fingerprinting services:

If you are going overseas or adopting a child from another country, you may obtain a record check on yourself available at no charge. Adult arrests and/or citation information is available for any person, but keep in mind the record only contains information on file with the Coeur d'Alene Police. This means we cannot release the files of other police agencies or run national records checks for you.

Idaho State Criminal History Information

“Businesses requesting background checks ex:  potential employees, potential renters, CASA, etc.  Please refer to website www.idcourts.us.  This website will allow the general public to review a person’s criminal history in all 44 counties of the state of Idaho.  Also computers are available for use in the basement of the Criminal Justice Building at 624 W Garden, for public access inquiries. The persons making inquiries will see all cases filed in Kootenai County.” Additional criminal history information may be obtained from the State of Idaho.
